Venezuela (July 2007)
My friends Monica and Darin got married in Venezuela and invited their guests from abroad to travel around Venezuela with them afterwards. We all had a fabulous time - the country is really beautiful and diverse. Traffic in cities is awful, though - thanks to highly subsidized gasoline (full tank for less than a dollar). First, we stayed in Caracas and went to Pico El Aguila. Then we travelled by car from Caracas to Merida in the Andes. In the end, we flew to Canaima and took a boat trip to Angel Falls, the world's highest waterfall. Would love to go there again sometime.

Wedding of Monica and Darin (June 2007)
The big day was June 30, 2007, at "Casa Campo" in Caracas, Venezuela . The wedding, the reception and the party - Venezuelan style, loads of good music and dancing. !Me gusta mucho!

Edale (June 2007)
Edale in the Peak District. Beautiful countryside, lots of green and sheep. Great weekend away, two days of hiking and fun.

Dover (May 2007)
Dover itself is not an extremely interesting place, but The White Cliffs are definitely worth a visit.

Dublin (May 2007)
Early May Bank Holiday in Dublin. Weather was not so great, but Dublin is a nice place. Smoke-free pubs with live music are great.

Brighton (April 2007)
Brighton is "the most enchanting, exciting, extraordinary seaside city in Britain", but I was not so impressed - probably due to the fact that I am not a fan of mass tourism. But it was a nice day-trip from London on a very summer-like day in April.
