Wondering why my birthday was celebrated on the fifth floor in Tydings, with tons of books and notes around? There's a simple explanation - the micro comp was the very next day, and the macro comp was in three days... But my classmates still found the time to surprise me with a cake and made my day. Thanks, Isabel, Yyannu, Marilyn, Gunjan, Sangamitra, BeomSoo, Alex, Julian, Radu and Yerzhan (in no particular order)!!! And I even got a second surprise birthday cake after the macro comp - thanks, Isabel, Marilyn, Gunjan, Sangamitra, Lisa and Whitney! I think this was my only birthday with two birthday cakes.

My distant relatives in Minnesota were kind enough to invite me to visit them right after my Spring finals. I met a lot of people, saw some parts of Minnesota and had a great time. Special thanks to Jeremy who was driving me around Minnesota and to Granpa Jake, Marcia and Tony who made my visit possible.

Five or six of my classmates have birthdays in April, so we decided to have a picnic and celebrate them all at once. It was raining when we started, but then it got nicer and we decided to go outside to Greenbelt Lake. After two hours most of us managed to find it (even though it was only ten minutes away...) and we finally had a late night picnic.
