Fall Foliage in Vermont (October 2003)

Fall Foliage in Vermont (October 2003)
Sometimes even a graduate student needs a break - and going on a road trip with friends is a great break! Five of us drove to Vermont in the middle of October to see the leaves changing colors. We missed the peak by a couple of days, but had a great time nevertheless. Sud and I were the designated drivers for the trip and driving on the Interstate was definitely an experience for me, coming from a small country like Slovenia with at most three lanes on our highways - but a good one:).

Prague (September 2006)

Prague (September 2006)
I was in Prague for the Annual EALE Conference, and combined business with pleasure by doing some sightseeing. I was really impressed with Prague and will surely do my best to visit it again sometime.

Picnic at the Greenbelt Lake (April 2002)

Picnic at the Greenbelt Lake (April 2002)
Five or six of my classmates have birthdays in April, so we decided to have a picnic and celebrate them all at once. It was raining when we started, but then it got nicer and we decided to go outside to Greenbelt Lake. After two hours most of us managed to find it (even though it was only ten minutes away...) and we finally had a late night picnic.

Prekmurje Road Trip (July 2006)

Prekmurje Road Trip (July 2006)
Even though I have travelled quite a bit, I have never been to Prekmurje before, so I was happy when the opportunity arose to go there with my cousin Mojca and her son Kristijan. We drove there slowly, stopping on the way in Celje, Zrece, Rogla, Slovenske Konjice, Maribor, Olimje before finally arriving to Moravske Toplice, where we stayed at the Flisar tourist farm. We went to Bogojina, Filovci, Odranci, Grad, and many other villages.
