My friends Monica and Darin got married in Venezuela and invited their guests from abroad to travel around Venezuela with them afterwards. We all had a fabulous time - the country is really beautiful and diverse. Traffic in cities is awful, though - thanks to highly subsidized gasoline (full tank for less than a dollar). First, we stayed in Caracas and went to Pico El Aguila. Then we travelled by car from Caracas to Merida in the Andes. In the end, we flew to Canaima and took a boat trip to Angel Falls, the world's highest waterfall. Would love to go there again sometime.

My friend Lidija invited me for a hiking trip to her family's cabin on Srednji Vrh (Gorenjska). We had a good time, not too much muscle pain and I took a lot of photos of the breath-taking nature. Among others, of kamniska murka (Nigritella lithopolitanica), gorski glavinec (Centaurea montana) and Clusijev svisc (Gentiana clusii)

This year, Niti, Monica and I managed to go to the Cherry Blossoms Festival in D.C. during the peak bloom. The weather was fabulous, and so were the cherry blossoms.
