There's a National Cherry Blossom Festival in DC every spring, and I finally decided that I should see the blossoms after living here for almost four years. I went on a morning before the rain and my roommate Monica went a couple of days later. I am truly blessed with great friends: since I had to stay in the USA over the Christmas and New Year, two of my friends, Anita and Mateja, came over here from Slovenia to keep me company and see the USA! I wanted to show them everything I never had a chance to see up till now:), and they said they needed another vacation when going home, but we had fun. And the weather was just fabulous - not too much of a Christmas spirit (i.e., no snow), but great for sightseeing.

Another year, another EGSA charity auction. Someone actually paid $70 for my home-made desserts! Every year I get a better price, so I guess I'm expecting no less than $100 next year :))). It's for a good cause, after all.
